Félix Lambey, second-rower of the French XV, spoke half-heartedly about the Edinburgh slip-up of 2018.
This Saturday, the French XV returns to Edinburgh for the second match of preparation for the World Cup. A city that caused a lot of ink in 2018 when, after a defeat to Scotland (26-32) French players took a night trip through the streets of Edinburgh, which almost ended badly.
Some were involved in a sexual assault case and were ousted from the group for several games.
“It could have happened anywhere”
Announced as the starter on Saturday, Félix Lambey was one of these players and in a press conference, he was invited to return to this event. “It could have happened anywhere, we’ve already gone back to New Zealand (in reference to the Bastareaud case in 2009) we’re coming back to Edinburgh,” said the second-placed of the French XV, according to L’Équipe.
