Electronic cigarettes Cause Death in the U.S

In the United States, the first person died of respiratory illness, which caused him to smoke electronic cigarettes. Referring to the healthcare professionals, he informed the BBC server that it is not entirely clear what the specific cause of the disease is.

The report comes at a time when experts investigate a mysterious lung disease that has spread over the US. The disease control and Prevention Centre (CDC) reported that it records 193 “potential cases” of disease in 22 U.S. states. In many of these cases, people with disabilities reported that using e-cigarettes inhaled THC, a psychoactive substance contained in marijuana. Cases were reported in the range of two months starting at the end of June.

A person died in the state of Illinois “after hospitalization with an unknown illness after smoking an e-cigarette”, the Illinois epidemiologist Jennifer Layden told him.

CDC director Robert Redfield said: “We regret to learn about the first death associated with the spread of diseases of the lung disease users of e-cigarettes or ‘ vaporizers ‘ facilities. ” He added that the tragic death in Illinois emphasizes the dangers arising from their use.

The cause of the disease has not yet been fully identified. However, all patients showed the same symptoms of coughing, shortness of breath and fatigue, and some also vomited or had diarrhea. According to doctors, there are not yet any indications that the disease should be infectious.

The authorities ordered to carry out laboratory tests of fillings in e-cigarettes in an attempt to determine whether they contain harmful compounds. Cartridges containing THC can be located on the black market, but also legally in some American States, according to the BBC. People on the online forums also point out the dangers of unregulated sales of counterfeit goods.
