Alert in Lesser Antilles due to tropical storm Dorian

After becoming a tropical storm this Saturday, Dorian continues its passage into the Atlantic Ocean.

According to information issued by the National Hurricane Center (NHC, for its acronym in English), to the 08 hours of this Sunday, the tropical system is maintained with winds of 40 miles per hour and is moving toward the west at 13 miles per hour, to the height of the Caribbean Sea.

And by this Monday afternoon it could be near the Lesser Antilles, so an alert has been issued for the island of Barbados to take precautions, such as locating the nearest shelters and keeping the most important personal documents at hand.

Dorian is expected to strengthen in the next 48 hours, making it a hurricane.
